I remember that back in the 70s, as a child, I somehow found a German-language book on the deeds of the Cheka, published in the 1920s somewhere in Germany. It has caused me a couple of sleepless nights, and has determined my view on the Revolution we celebrated every year. Nevertheless, you could always say it was to some extent influenced by propaganda.
