(At Gábor’s request we have used in this post a new way of display images, developed by Lloyd. Now the images appear by clicking on the mosaic tiles, and you can browse through the gallery by clicking on the left-right arrows, or simply on the images. We are looking forward to your opinion on which method you prefer, this, or the hitherto used one, which you can see for example in yesterday’s post.)

I prefer the 'old' way as I am not constrained to a 'serial' way of viewing the images. It is also faster on my desktop, a consequence perhaps of all the images being downloaded and cached. This way of viewing images is also a feature of río Wang which I have not seen elsewhere. Lloyd's approach is more widely used, and maybe has advantages for tablets or phones. I think you have a good existing format and as they say, 'if it's not broken, don't fix it'.

Thanks and best wishes for 2014.

L'autre système a un inconvénient: il est souvent difficile de "viser" précisément l'image qu'on veut voir. Je trouve ce système-ci plus souple, il offre le choix entre plusieurs façons de visionner es images.

Walter said it very well… I like the old way I just move the fingers on the trackpack and see them appear and disappear — without order, just going to the most pleasant details.

I don't see any arrows, I'm sorry to say...

Oh! now I understand. I can see them in your blog, but not through LJ or Dreamwidth. That's a pity.
