One could ask the question again: when were these pictures taken? But we already know that we must be careful. A careful fading throws back by decades even the photos taken yesterday, especially if nothing changed during these decades. And yet how much has changed! The images of Cuba, which we would have watched twenty years ago with the solidarity of the elder brother and ten years ago with the contempt of the western relative, now, at the end of the year of 2011 convey to us the soothing feeling of safety and invariability. And in the meantime the two men perhaps did not even stand up from the doorstep.
